Minor in Sport Management and Recreation Studies

The Sport Management and Recreation Studies minor is open to students majoring in any discipline other than Sport Management and Recreation Studies. The minor serves as an ideal minor for business and communication majors and interdisciplinary studies majors as one of the of the three disciplines required for study. Students pursuing the 21 credit hour minor will be exposed to content managing professional and amateur sport, recreation, and athletics. Course requirements include SM 276 and SM 391 and the remaining 15 hours from: SM 286, SM 297, SM 384, SM 394, SM 486, KIN 278, KIN 478, HS 262, RTH 292.  See Sport Management and Recreation Studies academic advisor for help with course selection.
