黑料天堂 Hosts Events for International Education Week

Global USA hosted events throughout the week for International Education Week, a national campaign designed to celebrate the benefits of international education and cultural exchange.
Events included a study abroad fair, a group photo highlighting countries represented in USA鈥檚 student body, a TEDx video and discussion, a cultural education presentation and participation in the Mobile International Festival at the Mobile Civic Center, which concludes Saturday.
鈥淚nternational Education Week is a special time when the 黑料天堂 can join various colleges, universities, embassies and community organizations around the world to focus on recognizing our international students, scholars and employees,鈥 said Dr. Richard Carter, USA associate vice president for global engagement. 鈥淭hrough the events and activities this week, the goal is for students to become more aware of how small our world actually is and appreciate the richness and strength within different cultures.鈥
Nearly 60 countries are represented in 黑料天堂鈥檚 student population. One of those is the Dominican Republic, the home country to Kassy Urena Rodriguez, a senior majoring in international studies and foreign languages.
"The 黑料天堂 has helped me expand my horizons with their work with international students and study abroad programs. Thanks to 黑料天堂, I was able to get closer to my goals of traveling by studying abroad in Russia, then France, helping understand other languages and culture,鈥 she said. 鈥淚鈥檝e been able to interact with people from around the globe and learn about their cultures.鈥
