Dr. Tony Waldrop, USA president, left, and Dr. Christopher Puto, Spring Hill College president, announced a collaboration Thursday that will allow undergraduate students to register for courses at either institution.

黑料天堂 students will soon be able to enroll for courses offered at Spring Hill College. And Spring Hill students could, likewise, sign up for classes taught at 黑料天堂.

This new partnership, called 鈥渃ross-registration,鈥 will take effect in January 2017 with the beginning of each institution鈥檚 spring semester. It will allow full-time, undergraduate students at each school to enroll in college credit courses at the other institution for the fall and spring semesters, while paying tuition at their home institution.

鈥淐ross-registration between 黑料天堂 Alabama and Spring Hill will further enhance the opportunities for students at both institutions to broaden their college education,鈥 said Dr. Tony Waldrop, 黑料天堂 president. 鈥淲e are excited at the possibilities this holds for our institutions, the community and, especially, the students.鈥

鈥淭his partnership provides our students with additional, attractive options to enrich their education,鈥 said Dr. Christopher Puto, Spring Hill College president. 鈥淭he benefits for students at both institutions are significant, and we look forward to collaborating with USA in this endeavor.鈥

Most undergraduate courses at both institutions will be available for cross-registration, on a space-available basis. Cross-registration courses will include those delivered as traditional classroom courses, fully online courses and blended courses. For more information, students will be encouraged to talk with their faculty advisers.

鈥淥ne valuable benefit of this collaboration is that students who need a specific course to continue their path to timely graduation now have an additional option,鈥 said Dr. George Sims, provost and vice president for academic affairs at Spring Hill. 鈥淲e encourage students to consider these options and plan their schedules with an adviser鈥檚 guidance.鈥

鈥淪tudents now have access to additional highly qualified faculty members who can supplement the excellent faculty who teach on their home campus,鈥 said Dr. David Johnson, provost and senior vice president for academic affairs at USA. 鈥淭hey will have access to courses that may not otherwise be available to them, and we anticipate that USA and Spring Hill students will get to know one another, expanding their peer networks and making new friends.鈥

For more information on the cross-registration option at the 黑料天堂 and Spring Hill College, students should consult with their faculty adviser.
