Rising Opera Star Coming Home to ΊΪΑΟΜμΜΓ

Nicholas Brownlee, a 2012 graduate of the ΊΪΑΟΜμΜΓβs vocal studies and Opera Theatre program, is a rising star in the opera world, and he has quickly risen to the βA-listβ of opera singers younger than 30.
³§΄Η³ά³Ω³σβs department of music is pleased to announce that Brownlee will be performing in a one-night-only concert to benefit the Universityβs Opera Theatre program at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 25, in the USA Laidlaw Performing Arts Center Recital Hall. Tickets will only be sold at the door for this event, with general admission $15 and $10 for USA faculty/staff, ΊΪΑΟΜμΜΓ students, youths under 18 and senior citizens. Seating is limited. The Musical Arts Series Passes will not be accepted as admission to this concert.
Brownlee, a native of Theodore and a 2007 graduate of Theodore High School, will perform works of Brahms, Ibert, Ives and Mozart, and the recital will include a set of pieces that he performed when he was a USA student in the studio with Dr. Thomas Rowell, area coordinator of vocal studies and director of the USA Opera Theatre.

Nick is a major success story for USA in the classical music world.β
Already making his Metropolitan Opera debut, Brownlee has worked with major artists and conductors such as Gustavo Dudamel, James Conlon and Placido Domingo. He is also being managed by Columbia Artists Management, Inc., which is one of the top classical music artist management firms in the world.
