NWF State College Joins Pathway USA

The ΊΪΑΟΜμΜΓ’s β€œPathway USA” program has added another Gulf Coast institution. Northwest Florida State College in Niceville becomes the fifth college to team up with ΊΪΑΟΜμΜΓ in the program that streamlines the transfer process for students who earn their associate’s degree.

The partnership will help more NWF State College graduates to transfer to ΊΪΑΟΜμΜΓ Alabama and earn their bachelor’s degree from USA.

β€œThe ΊΪΑΟΜμΜΓ has a long history of attracting and educating students from Okaloosa County and northwest Florida,” said Dr. Tony Waldrop, University of ΊΪΑΟΜμΜΓ Alabama president. β€œWe’re very excited and look forward to seeing more students from NWF join us here at USA.”

Previous Pathway USA partnerships have been established with Coastal Alabama Community College, Bishop State Community College, Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College and Pensacola State College.

β€œOur partnership with the ΊΪΑΟΜμΜΓ greatly benefits students by expanding postsecondary degree opportunities,” said Dr. Devin Stephenson, Northwest Florida State College president. β€œThe Pathway USA agreement not only creates a seamless transfer opportunity, it includes wrap-around support services such as advising to assist with a successful transition. We are looking forward to growing enrollment through the Pathway USA program while strengthening the relationship between Northwest Florida State College and the ΊΪΑΟΜμΜΓ.”

NWF students may choose to have a copy of their USA application and supporting documents forwarded to NWF for admission consideration. Students already attending NWF may also apply for Pathway USA. A unique application will be created and available for NWF students to complete and submit.

NWF students who enter the Pathway USA program will have unique benefits, such as:

  • Guaranteed admission to USA upon successful completion (cumulative grade-point average of 2.0 or higher) of the associate’s degree
  • A USA academic advisor assigned to them who will provide individual guidance on course selection and map out degree plans
  • Special discounts through USA’s Jaguar Productions
  • Complimentary admission to ΊΪΑΟΜμΜΓ Alabama home athletic events
